On Friday, May 17th, 2013 the
kids of St. Francis School will participate in a Jog-a-Thon which is included as part of our
8th annual Friar Trot festivities. 100% of the net proceeds will go to help support the gymnasium
for our school. This gym will serves not only our school kids but also the greater Sherwood community.
Pledging activities will begin for all students on Monday, April 8th and conclude on Wednesday May 15th. Completed
pledge forms are due in the school office on Thursday May 16th. The event takes place on Friday, May 17th. All
funds will be collected after the event and are due back in the school office by Friday May 24th.
There are two ways that family
and friends can pledge the student. They can pledge a per "lap" amount (each lap is 1/4 mile) or they
can pledge a flat amount for the event. Either way is welcome and sincerely appreciated.
All students will participate
in this event which will be held during regular school hours, however it will not be open to the public.
Each student will receive a 2012 Friar Trot T-shirt. Jog-a-Thon pledge packets will be distributed to all school families
on April 8th, 2012. Each will contain a pledge form, prize rules, event description and Q & A information.
Prizes will be awarded for individual achievement in fund raising as well as for class level fund raising. Suggested
individual target goals are outlined on the pledge form to assist in each students fundraising efforts. If
